News Interview – Fox 32 Chicago Interview with Daniel DeBaun
How Kids Are Affected by EMF Radiation
Fox 32 Chicago News Anchor Sylvia Perez interviews DefenderShield CEO and EMF Radiation Expert Daniel DeBaun on how electromagnetic frequencies emitting from our laptops, tablets, phones, and other mobile devices can be affecting our children.
DeBaun talks to Perez about why kids are more vulnerable to EMF radiation coming from mobile devices, along with the best ways to reduce kids’ daily exposure. He recommends speakerphone, wired earbuds, and keeping devices at least 1 foot away to reduce exposure by 80 percent.
DeBaun also explains why telecom companies and governments are claiming our devices are safe for us to use. He claims that SAR (specific absorption rate) standards, used to deem cell phones ‘safe’ for use, were created over 30 years ago. Since then, technology has fundamentally changed in form and function. Chronic exposure to EMF frequencies is now associated with biological effects on our bodies. This takes place even when the power levels of our devices are lower than the levels set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and other regulatory bodies.
Daniel DeBaun is the CEO of DefenderShield, the world leader in EMF protection and safety. DeBaun is an internationally-recognized expert in EMF radiation and related health issues, focusing on the effect of exposure from mobile devices. DeBaun’s concern grew from over thirty years of engineering experience in the telecommunications industry, where he held a variety of executive positions at SAIC, Telcordia, AT&T, and Bell Labs. He is also the co-author of Radiation Nation: The Fallout of Modern Technology.
This interview was a live segment that aired on Fox 32 Chicago at 12:45pm CDT on June 3, 2021.
